In 1943 The President of the United States was Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Vice President was Henry A. Wallace . The United States Population was approximately 136,739,353. Earl Warren became the 30 th Governor of the State of California and Napa Valley Insurance Services was born.

In 1943 Seminara & Co . was founded. They were a family owned operation that specialized in personal insurance. Many years later, Bob Avery joined the firm changing the name to Seminara, Avery & CO . In the mid 1970's Russ Barker joined the agency, once again changing the name. Russ Barker was instrumental in developing new commercial clients, something new for this small family owned agency.

Barbara Holman joined the Agency in 1980, and once again, another name change was in the works. In 1997 she bought out her fellow owners, but elected to keep the name Barker, Holman, Eberline, Chesnutt & Associates .

In 1999 Barbara received permission from the California Department of Insurance to use its current name, Napa Valley Insurance Services .

For over 60 years, Napa Valley Insurance Services has been a part of Napa History, and has been in the same location for over 20 years.

Today, Napa Valley Insurance Services consist of Barbara and Pam who are the owner/brokers, four outside sales agents and four office support personnel. All of the staff are licensed property and causality agents.

Napa Valley Insurance Services is a full service independent insurance agency that has long time connections with reputable insurance companies. We can handle all lines of insurance for our individual and business clients.

Napa Valley Insurance Services has gone through many name changes over the years, however the same ideology applies today as it did back in 1943. We are still a family owned and operated business, which cares about its clients, its community and the future of the Napa Valley.
